What to do when you have cigarettes but don't smoke? Make art.
The sculpture is made entirely out of cigarettes - 5 to be exact, although I didn't use each cigarette entirely. It represents the growth of addiction to smoking. Smoking may benefit a part of you, but in the end, in may destroy all of you. The flames represent the death that cigarettes may cause.

i love this! great concept, and the sculpture looks so intricate. i would love to see it in person - it looks pretty amazing!
I love these! ps thanks for letting me know about the color of my blog! I was messing around with some setting yesterday and must have gotten the color off... does it look better now? Thanks again Dori! xoxo
This is really beautiful, and very very clever! A long time ago I tried photographing broken cigarettes to convey a similar message, but it didn't turn out nearly as lovely as yours.
My Grandfather died because he was addicted to cigarettes (even after 4 heart attacks!) So I definitely appreciate this piece of art. Also, it certainly looks very fragile and I am very curious as to how you made it all stay together... :] Very nicely done, as always!! Thanks for sharing!
Dori, well you just need a target that's all. You sure have the talent, you have a good brain and I like how you think. In fact you think pretty good :) This is wonderful. Smoking sucks, it makes people go blind, I spend my entire day telling people not to do it....
Just get a gallery, get a show planned and you will have plenty of motivation!
see you from Oz
(oh my work doesn't take long - it just takes a long toime to learn how to do it! :) )

Dori,
You are mad talented, but I'm not gonna lie. This makes me want to smoke a cigarette.
This is wonderful!
Oh wow, that is amazing!!
Something as bad as a cigaret turned into something so pretty!!
Very thought-provoking - I quit smoking 2 years ago - I am grateful every day that I did.
what did you use for the last one? is it just timber??
What do you mean? All the photos are of the same sculpture, some are before it was complete.
