Bottle Cap Planets

I really like making art out of things that I usually throw away. I looked through my recycling bin and decided to collect plastic bottle caps and make something out of them. I have a really bare wall in my room, so I decided to turn them into a wall decoration.

Loving the different shapes and sizes.

I painted them a colour I already used throughout my room.

I like to pretend they're planets.

To stick them to the wall, I'd suggest using either pins, sticky tack or tape. I think I'll end up adding more caps to my wall, I really like how it looks. I also read that most places don't even allow plastic bottle caps to be recycled.

P.S. I was amazed by all the other things people have turned plastic bottle caps into, after Google searching it.

yayyyy way to recycle! :) I think it's really sad that you can't recycle bottlecaps, because I feel like I throw out SO many. :(

I agree, it definately needs more spaceships. But really, I adore this idea <3 I'll be considering it for my own room.

Wow, that is so cool and clever. What a simple way to add texture to a wall without over doing it. I love the wall colour you have there too - I reminds me of the soothing, smooth colour of brown eggs. - G

takes a lot of creativity to see beauty in that which we might otherwise simply throw away.

love it! I have tried the tap, and the push pins/tacks, but neither really worked for the wall! Do you have any other suggestions??
