Take part

dressup

Today as I was walking my hermit crab, he told me that he found a new passion for fashion. So we played dressup.
In other news, I've been busy working on projects and writing letters. I have two things to share with you today! I recently posted an entry about The Big Give. If you missed my post, here's a quick recap. It's a big contest where you have to use $20 or less to do an amazing act of kindness for somebody. There is an awesome prize back, too. If you don't want to enter the contest, you can follow them or join the team!
Today The Big Give featured a post about my Goodfiti project! There are two new Goodfiti photos in it, so go check them out!

The other thing I wanted to share is a project I just found out about called Drop A Love Bomb. Once a week a call is sent out to all members to drop "love bombs" somebody in need - through blog comments! Simply go to their website and subscribe!

Giraffe

I found a giraffe in Waterloo.
Sometimes I add photos to my flickr which I don't find worthy of posting here. Just saying, in case anybody wants to see some lame animal photos.

Camerahands : New Design

I re-did my website, so no more flash. I'd like to know your opinions! I did it all myself - from a photo of my hand to scanning some film strips I had, to coding it, etc! If it's really slow on your computer or something is broken, please let me know. Also, the photos are supposed to open up in a nice little white window.

I know, I should probably be worrying about taking new photos before changing up my website... but I promise I'll be taking more photos this summer!

Fabric Chess Board

I'm a huge lover of chess. I remember learning how to play chess in grade 7 or 8 because there was some sort of chess club during recess. I loved it but haven't really played since until a few months ago when I had a sudden urge to play.

I started making this chess board a long while ago. After I had most things done, I couldn't figure out how to make the special pieces. I got stuck on that for a week! I decided to make little symbols on them using pins. If I think of a better way to make them, I'll take the pins out and give the pieces a makeover.

P.S. It really makes me angry when I ask people to play (for example my mom) and their excuse is "I don't know how!". She makes it seem as if it's the most complicated thing in the world. It only takes a few minutes to learn!
